Function First Design started with a problem: the accessories I wanted for my truck either didn't exist, or didn't hold up.
I'm a mechanical engineer based in Youngsville, Louisiana, a small town south of Lafayette where people build their own stuff and expect it to work as hard as they do. My day job is in the oilfield, where equipment either does its job or it doesn't. That mindset is baked into everything I design.
A 3D printer that started as a weekend hobby turned into parts I couldn't buy anywhere: brackets, mounts, upgrades built for how trucks actually get used. Turns out I wasn't the only one who needed them.
Every product here is designed, printed, and shipped by me - one order at a time, right here in South Louisiana. No factory. No middleman. No corners cut to hit a price point.
We started with Super Duty reverse light brackets but we're just getting started.
